Day Trip to Mt Meru

Mt. Meru is the second largest mountain in Tanzania at 4566m.It is a beatiful volcanic cone and is used by climbers who want to prepare for the Kilimanjaro climb.There is only one route up the Mt Meru, the Momela route
Mt Meru is located inside the Arusha National Park which has a great variety of wildlife.It has a large population of buffallo and climbers have to be escorted by an armed ranger on their way up and down the Mt Meru

The park is perfect for day safaris, as it is close to Arusha and Moshi. It is a small park (552 square km) in northern Tanzania, Arusha.

Moshi to Arusha Town – to Arusha National Park Depart from Moshi at 8AM to Arusha town for about 1 hour and we drive around the green city of Arusha for 45 minutes before driving to the Arusha National Park for full enjoyment. You will enjoy a half-day guided walking safari through the forest to the waterfall and the natural beauty of the hills, mountains and river beds begging to be explored.

Expect to see endless acres of forest, welcoming black and white Columbus monkeys, zebras, buffaloes and a lot of antelopes. After the lunch in the park, you will be taken on a game drive through the National park, where you will enjoy the flora and fauna. We will drive you to seven Momella lakes full of Pink flamingos and other water birds. On the way back, giraffes, unaware of your presence, will pose undisturbed for the family album. In the evening we will drive you back to Moshi / Arusha in your respective hotel
