9 Days Family Adventure Safari in Nairobi, Kenya

Arrive at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) where you will be received by the company’s representative and transferred to your city hotel. Depending on your arrival time, a Nairobi City tour can be organized for you to have an opportunity to visit the central business center, parliament buildings, Conference Center (KICC), and many mordant and historical buildings.

You will also have the chance to visit National Museum of Kenya and famous Snake Park. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel.

After a hearty breakfast, depart for Nanyuki for the sweetwaters on the slopes of Mount Kenya in time for lunch. You will have an afternoon game-viewing drive including a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary. The kids will have an opportunity to touch and pat the resident rhino “Moran,” in addition to other activities. You’ll have an optional night game viewing drive. Dinner and overnight will be at the luxurious Sweetwater’s Luxury Tented Camp.

After breakfast, depart for Samburu National Reserve and have lunch. You will have an afternoon game-viewing drive in the stark countryside which is an amazing sanctuary for gravy zebras, Somali ostriches, reticulated giraffes, gerenuks, elephants, leopards, lions, and other plains game. Children can enjoy a swim in the semi-desert country. Dinner and overnight will be at Sarova Shaba Lodge.

You will have a full day in the amazing countryside of Shaba and the neighboring Samburu Game Reserve. Enjoy an early morning game viewing drive and return to the camp for breakfast. Spend the morning at leisure. Lunch will be followed by another game-viewing drive or a swim by the pool. Retire for dinner and overnight at Sarova Shaba Lodge.

After an early breakfast, depart for Nakuru where you’ll have lunch while you view the Thomson Falls. Arrive in Nakuru in the evening with a game drive en route to the lodge at Sarova Lions Hill.

After an early breakfast, you will proceed on a full day game drive in the nearby lake Nakuru National Park where you will see a fantastic array of bird life Including flamingos, white pelicans, marabou storks, and all water birds that breed in the lake’s alkaline waters. You are likely to spot rhinos and the rare Rothschild’s giraffes that have five horns instead of the usual three.

A visit to the baboon cliff offers a scenic panorama of the lake below surrounded by a vast tract of euphorbia and acacia forest. Makalia falls within the park is for picnic lunch which is an additional attraction. In the evening, you’ll return to the lodge or a budget hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, proceed to the world famous and Kenya’s finest game reserve, Maasai Mara Game Reserve and have lunch at Keekrock Lodge. In the afternoon, proceed on a game-viewing drive and return for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Early breakfast is followed by an exciting full morning game-viewing drive including a visit to Mara River to view the hippos at the hippo pool. Lunch is followed by an afternoon game-viewing drive. An optional hot air balloon ride is available upon request and at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight are at a lodge.

After breakfast, drive to Nairobi and stop at the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley, Kenya’s colorful capital city. Have lunch at the restaurant of your choice. You can try the local traditional restaurants, Pizza Inn, or McDonald’s restaurants. Optionally and at a fee, you can have lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. Carnivore barbecue experience, described as “meat eaters paradise,” is the Africa’s greatest eating experience.

After lunch, you will be transferred to your hotel for the rest of the afternoon with dinner and overnight at Sarova Panafric Hotel where the tour ends. You may also be transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) for your onward arrangements.
