Itinerary

Day 1.Arrival

Upon arrival, you will be met at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO). After traditional welcome and greetings, you will be transferred to Hotel Sarova Panafric for overnight on bed and breakfast basis. Depending on arrival time, there can be optional city visit tour and excursion.

Day 2Nairobi to Amboseli

You will depart Nairobi at 07:30 after a delightful breakfast and drive south across the Athi Plains, home of the Maasai, and on to Amboseli. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of free-ranging African elephants as well as huge herds of wildebeests and many other animals including giraffes, African lions, monkeys, zebras, hyenas, and antelope.

You will arrive in Amboseli in the early afternoon for check in and time for lunch. Then, later at 16:00, you will go for a game viewing, exploring the Amboseli plains. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Kibo Safari Camp on full board basis.

Day 3Amboseli to Arusha

You will wake up for an early morning game drive. The morning light will reveal Mount Kilimanjaro and turn its snow into an ethereal pink. Herds of elephants crossing the plains to be seen with the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the backdrop.

Then, you will head back to the lodge for breakfast and get ready for departure to Arusha with your lunch boxes. You will arrive in the late afternoon for check in, dinner, and overnight at Impala Hotel on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 4Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will depart Arusha and drive on Tarmac Road approximately 130 kilometers to the Lake Manyara National Park. The lake occupies a large portion of the park. The forest starts just when you cross the park gate along the base of the Great Rift Valley, and the hot springs are located on the west side of the park.The park is home to the famous tree climbing lions, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, baboons, flamingos, ostriches, geese, and many more animals. After your picnic lunch, you will take an afternoon game drive. In the late afternoon, you will drive to camp for dinner and your overnight stay on full board basis.

Day 5Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will head towards the Serengeti National Park by the way of the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind. You will head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park.
The Seronera River provides a valuable water source to this area of the park and attracts wildlife well represented of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arriving in time for lunch and then head out for an afternoon game drive, evening dinner, and overnight at Seronera Camp on full board basis.

Day 6Serengeti National Park

Get ready after breakfast for an early morning game drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River. This is a good location for spotting lions, gazelles, topi, ostriches, and the cheetahs.

The Visitor’s Center, close to the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites, is well worth a visit after this morning game drive. This nicely designed center offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop where you can purchase information leaflets and maps of the area.

In the afternoon, follow the Kopjes Circuit going counterclockwise around the Maasai Kopjes. On this tour, you will have the chance to view more lions and some formidably large cobras. You will have dinner and spend the night at the Seronera Camp on full board basis.

Day 7Serengeti Plain to Ngorongoro Crater

On this day, you will depart to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will stop at Olduvai Gorge which boasts history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here that the anthropologists, Doctors Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of the Nutcracker Man and Handy Man, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution.
You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and then descend over 600 meters into the crater to view the wildlife for a half-day safari tour. Dinner and overnight will be at the Ngorongoro Simba Campsite on full board basis.

Day 8Ngorongoro Crater to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for the Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation consists mainly of acacia woodland, giant African baobab trees, and huge swamp areas.
Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for the local wildlife during the Tanzania dry season. The Tarangire National Park is home to three rare species of animals, the greater kudu, the fringed eared oryx, and the ashy starlings. After a picnic lunch, you will head out for an afternoon game drive. You will have dinner and overnight at the Tarangire National Park campsite on full board basis.

Day 9Tarangire National Park to Arusha to Nairobi

This day, you will enjoy a final game drive before breakfast. Then, you will return to the camp for breakfast and be transferred back to Arusha for lunch and later proceed to Nairobi for check in at Sarova Panafric Hotel for dinner and over night or to the airport, depends on your departure time. Dinner is not included.
